The highlight of the competition for me was definitely the 2009 produce tour. Being on the road, touring with other young and passionate Chefs and Waiters and discovering the amazing produce Australia has to offer was incredible.

The EAFE program has opened so many doors for me, boosting my profile and my confidence. Through the competition I have gained so many good friends and contacts that are now helping me to travel and work abroad.

Food is my life. I am continuously motivated by fresh seasonal produce and the challenge of creating a dish that highlight the natural colours, textures and palate bursting flavour of each ingredient.

My career dream is...

By the time I am 35 “…I would like to be the head chef/owner of a fine dining restaurant in Perth. I will serve my own unique style of cuisine, crafted using my experience working alongside some of the best chefs in the world and also living with different cultures, absorbing their traditions.
