Young Restaurateur Prizes

Applicants

  • If you are not selected as a national finalist you will receive brief feedback regarding your application from the judging panel.
  • The opportunity to participate in an educational workshop during 2018

National Finalists

  • Certificate
  • An invitation to the all-expenses paid Food, wine and educational trip to one of Australia’s leading food and wine region to meet and learn from some Australia’s world renowned seafood, meat, horticulture and viticulture producers. This is made possible with support from partners such as Porkstar,  Meat and Livestock Australia, Fisheries Research and Development Corporation. Incorporated into the tour will be an educational workshops on topics such as mental health, media training, working in hospitality.
  • Be given the opportunity to invite some of your staff to participate in a one day skills workshop in your home state during 2018
  • Join our alumni and network with past young restaurateur national finalists
  • Be part of a think tank where our past young restaurateurs come together as a collaborative to share business issues, discuss new ideas and solutions as a group.
  • Networking lunch/drinks with the judging panel (young restaurateur national finalists & panel only)

Australian young restaurateur of the year

  • Individual constructive feedback from the judges, in person from the judging panel at national judging
  • Networking dinner with all the state finalists whilst in Sydney
  • Workshops including professional portrait whilst in Sydney
  • Participate in a one day skills workshop in your home state during 2018
