VEGETABLES
Tomato prices are expected to increase after more than 5 million plants and seedlings were poisoned at two
Best buys this week...
Artichoke. Cauliflower, Pumpkins, Eggplant, Fennel, Beans, Snow Peas

Baby dutch carrots: Plentiful in supply, quality is excellent and good value. Golf ball, purple and golden baby carrots are very scarce and supply is low.
Brussel sprouts: Are closely related to the cabbage and contain a high source of vitamin C and also has an acquired taste. Brussel sprouts originated from Brussel, hence the name. There is plentiful in supply quality is good and well priced.
Broccoli: Is good value well priced and plentiful in supply.
Red and Green Chilli: Are in short supply and prices are up.
Snowpea and sugar snaps: Prices have eased quality is exceptional.
Herbs: There is plentiful in supply of all varieties of herbs. Bunches are a little small due to growing conditions. Herbs love to thrive in the sun.
Squash: Is up in price although supply and quality is good.
Pine mushroom: Are not available and have finished for the season. Substitute with slippery jacks or seps mushrooms.

FRUIT
Best buys this week...
Mandarins, Green Mangos, Oranges, Grapefruit, Star Fruit, Apples
Grapes: Are up in price and quality is very average due to the growing conditions and low production.
Pineapples: Good value well priced and plentiful in supply. Best buy for the week taste wise is sweet considering its winter at the moment and they love to grow in the warm temperatures.
Strawberries: Large strawberries are only available at the moment smaller strawberries on the other hand are harder to source. Quality is improving day by day and there is plentiful in supply.
